After the graduation, Lisa, Pat, Kathleen and I hurried back to Lisa's apartment to pack up the remainder of her stuff for the last leg of the move to Delaware. The plan was for Lisa to check out of her place, drop the last of her things at the new place in Delaware and then straight on 'til morning! Er, New Jersey!
Kathleen thought Pat rummaging around in his truck was funny. Here is the fruit of that thought. That's me, handing him an air mattress.
And off to New Jersey! Our first morning there, Lisa, Kathleen and I took a hike up the shore, while we waited for Beth and Mike to arrive and Pat was at an LSAT prep class.
A mile or so up the beach, we found a local radio station event. People were digging prize boxes out of the sand. Despite the cat-calls of the clever morning DJs, no one, in fact, threw up in the process.
Everyone assembled, we challenged the boardwalk, and its cuisine.
...and then retired back to the beach house for Mario Party. I had to capture Kathleen and Beth duking it out in the minigames.
It had been a long several days for Lisa, so we just let her sleep where she fell for a while, before shuffling her off to bed.
We hit the beach the next morning, and I managed to snap this super-flattering picture of the gang. L to R: Beth, Mike, Lisa, Pat and Kathleen.
Kathleen begins what will become a monumental sand construction.
Lisa taught us how to make art nouveau architecture out of sand.
The construction begins.. We spent most of the morning on this. Perhaps the sun was getting to us..
We ended up with this mess. A few fortifications on top, with 5 major tunnels underneath it all.
Beth is not a big fan of beer, but Lisa and Kathleen suggested that Sam Adams Cherry Wheat might be a good gateway beer for her. She had a tortilla chip ready as a chaser if they turned out to be wrong. She was not converted that evening.
We headed up the shore to Atlantic City to walk the boardwalk and see the casinos. Here's the Trump Taj Mahal. Beth and Mike saunter away in the immediate foreground.
I had to get a picture of Kathleen at Red Square with Vlad, to match the Las Vegas version.
The boardwalk was crowded, but we got in behind Beth and Mike again and slowly made our way down.
They've got one of these at each cross street, and many are familiar. This is the one we wanted a picture of, though. Right at the corner of Boardwalk and Park Place.
After several fun days, we packed it in. Mike contemplates on what has passed.

Beth and Mike having headed back to MA, the remaining four of us headed into Philly and bought some Nintendo games. We also stopped at the fantastic Monk's Cafe and enjoyed the house sour ale. Delicious.
