Memorial Day 2006
We had quite the outing for Memorial Day this year. Kathleen's maid of honor, Lisa (for whom Kathleen will, in turn, be maid of honor) graduated from the Johns Hopkins medical program. We all decided to make the whole to-do an extended weekend, so after the graduation festivities, we went to Wildwood, NJ, on the south Jersey shore. Boardwalks and corn dogs abounded. That, and sunburn. We had quite the swell time despite, though.
Hopkins puts a close-up video of the graduates on the big screen. Here's Lisa's candid.
.. and so you can see the whole robe business. Note the stripes on the sleeves. That's Doctor G to you.

.. in the greatest city in America!

Mayor of NYC, Michael Bloomberg spoke at the convocation. He was kind of an idiot.

More of this extended weekend is chronicled here.
