They had a very timely Ratatouille theme
We both thought that Belle's dress was very appropriate for Kathleen.
I admit.. I was least looking forward to MGM. I was still expecting it to be a lot of fun, of course, but it's tough to compete when the other Disney parks are your yardstick. While we were waiting in line before the park opened, one of the cast members started chatting with us about where we were from and small talk. After a bit, he asked if we would like to help open the park. We didn't know exactly what that entailed, but we assumed that we wanted to do it.
Kathleen was inside the park here. Those other people were outside. How cool is that?
They let us in before everyone else to sort of wander and look around. They took a couple pictures of us with the empty park around us.
We got to take part in the park's opening ceremonies. The idea was that a big Hollywood director was making a new movie. We were the stars, and all the other park guests were the extras. It mostly involved being driven around in front of everyone, yelling "Hollywood, here we come!" into the mic, and being driven to...
...the Rockin' Roller Coaster. One of the MGM headliners. It's a dark, indoor, upside-down coaster with Aerosmith blasting in your ears. Pretty darn intense for Disney.
