Ah, with the wedding past us, we happily hopped a plane to beautiful Calgary, Alberta, Canada. We loaded our bags into the rental car and drove off into the sunset, due west to Canmore, just outside Banff National Park. As we were driving in, we observed that it had been a rainy day, but it looked like the weather was moving off to the east, with sunny skies ahead of us. Prophetic maybe?
We stayed at a wonderful bed and breakfast, called A Bear and Bison. The food was out of this world. The room was warm and comfortable. It was pretty much exactly what we wanted in a honeymoon.
This was the view of the Three Sisters from the porch of our suite.
Our first tourist stop was Johnston Canyon, just a few miles into the national park. We walked up a craggy trail passing several gorgeous waterfalls. I'll let you enjoy the pretty scenery without my jimmer-jammering.
This raven was pretty aggressive when we were eating our lunch. He wouldn't be the last bird to hassle us as we were eating, unfortunately.
