May 14th, 2005. A day ... yadda yadda ... infamy!! It was the best of times... Well, anyway, the Mullets put on quite a good show for their inaugural show. It is documented herein.
About two minutes before the Mullets took the stage, I realized I had left my camera at my parents house. Fortunately, I was back in about 10 minutes flat. Unfortunately, I didn't get any shots of their entrance. Casey came on stage and donned his graduation gown and mortar board to some killer music coming out of a nearby boom box. Beyond sweet.
After I got back with my camera, Casey had already had a wardrobe change. I think he was trying to pull a
Bono with that action. Here he pays tribute to everyone's favorite 80s band that just won't retire.
Casey tends to sing the most, but Rusty got behind the mike for several songs. Casey and Dan rock out while Rusty takes a pause. Does wearing a jacket count as a wardrobe change?
Dan and Casey continue to jam, and observe the legacy of Buffalo Dan.
The band wraps up a song, to overwhelming praise from the crowd.
Dave showed up to support his brother, and apparently because he likes holding bottles of Newcastle to his head.
Dan sat one out as our cousin Joe took his spot for Cinnamon Girl.
Joe gets into the guitar solo.
Then he got back to his real job: doing sound. The speakers definitely went to 11.
Here's a few of the guys in action..
Vince sang Sympathy for the Devil with the band. He smoked.
Dan even got a chance to belt one.
The Silver Mullet Band bows to their cheering fanatics.
It was a great show, and tons of fun. I heard it through the grapevine that the Mullets have more shows already lining up. It has only just begun.
A bunch of family was in attendance for the show, and I got oodles of pictures of them too. Enjoy.
