From July 26th to July 29th, 2003, Kathleen and I met up in Chicago so that I could show her around the city and introduce her to a few important people. We saw a show on Lincoln Avenue, took in the Art Institute, checked out the Lincoln Park Zoo, and walked a lot. Along the way we met up with several of my friends from school and hung out quite a bit with my sister, Julia. We're already planning our next trip. Maybe Kathleen can find a good excuse to do some research in town. And she would definitely need someone to assist. Yeah.. that'll work just fine..
We got lunch at the best sandwich shop in the known world, Potbelly. Here Julia and Kathleen wait in line while I hold our table, and be bored. Note the guy in the Jimmy John's cap two people ahead of them in line.. Hmm..
I then did some candid photography of the two of them as we ate. Here's Kathleen.
..and here's Julia in an especially contemplative and expressive moment.
At the Taste of Lincoln Avenue, we saw Underwater People. They were fantastic, as usual.
Here's Ben, Julia and Kathleen, smiling for the birdie.
Hello Dave played next. They were pretty darn sweet too. We had to leave mid-set, though, to keep our dinner plans.
