From June 27th to June 30th, 2003, I headed out once again to the Charm City. This time, the occasion was Kathleen's 22nd birthday. Lisa and I threw a surprise party for, and she was appreciably surprised. No pictures were taken that night, but I started in with the digi the next night on our trip to K's new apartment in Newark, DE. Yes, Delaware. It's pretty nice, though, I swear.
The three folks I was hanging out with the night of the 28th. L to R, Hideki, Lisa and Kathleen. Hideki chopped the veggies, while Lisa was working on opening a little spice jar for the Paella, and Kathleen readied some of her myriad measuring spoons.
Kathleen proudly displays a spatula that Lisa gave to her because it scared Lisa. You can see why.. Yup, it has feet and a face.
Here we get a shot of the main course, home-brew paella. It was excellent.
Hideki and I settled in for some beer and Snakes & Ladders. He won. At chess too..
Lisa ponders her next move in Mancala. The pits in the board weren't really big enough for Mancala, but Lisa and Kathleen are tough.
I surprised them with the last photo, so they demanded a re-shoot that more accurately depicted the circumstances. Yup, they both just smile at me, pretty much constantly. Weird..
Hideki ponders his next move..
Fuzzy, but still a cute picture

Kathleen was apparently bashful of me getting a shot of her drinking. What's the under your arm, K?
Persistent am I, because I still managed to click one.
I was talking, but still a good shot of the two of us.
Jackie and Scott just bought themselves a house, so I had to snap a shot of them in their new abode.
Jackie, a bit impatient with my photography. The camera survived, barely.
K stylin' in her shades, which she almost broke moments later. Look before you sit..
Jackie taking some excellent photos of her husband whilst driving..
What good little Catholics! Kathleen pours over a book on Lourdes while I brush up on my catechism. All while boozing.
Kathleen grabs the last remnants of her kitchen supplies from 106.
