Ask most anyone who grew up in the Peoria area where the spookiest spot around is, and likely you'll get back a story about driving around the old state hospital in Bartonville on a cold Halloween evening. Looking through the busted out windows in the huge abandoned palace of a building, you'd understand where gruesome stories of horrors that might have happened (but probably didn't) came from. These pictures are of the graveyard nearby where those in the care of the hospital who died were buried.

The graveyard's plot of land has plenty of room to grow. With graves from every few days going back to the 20's, they likely would have filled the place in not too much longer.
